NCA Concludes Major Cybersecurity Drill For Hajj Season 1445H
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has successfully concluded the "Cybersecurity Exercise for the Hajj Season 1445H." This event saw the participation of over 200 national entities, represented by more than 600 officials and specialists in cybersecurity. The exercise was attended by Prince Dr. Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, and NCA Governor Eng. Majed bin Mohammed Al-Mazyed.
The NCA stated that this exercise is part of its ongoing program to enhance cybersecurity readiness for the Hajj season. The initiative aims to develop the skills of cybersecurity specialists to ensure the best services for pilgrims. The exercise included simulations of various types of cyberattacks and the application of cyber incident response mechanisms.

Technical and administrative activities were also part of the exercise, focusing on finding innovative solutions to emerging cybersecurity challenges and threats. These activities were conducted in accordance with the best standards and practices in the field. The event took place in Jeddah over two days and was facilitated through a specialized platform.
This platform was built, hosted, and operated in cooperation with the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), which serves as the technical arm of the authority. It is designed to create cybersecurity exercises and develop scenarios that simulate the latest developments in cyber threats and attacks.
The primary aim of this platform is to support the efforts of cybersecurity officials from national entities participating in the exercise. It also aims to bolster work mechanisms within an integrated national system during the Hajj season.
Overall, this exercise underscores the NCA's commitment to enhancing cybersecurity measures and readiness among national entities involved in the Hajj season, ensuring a secure environment for all participants.
