NBE Egyptian Super Cup 2024 Set For Abu Dhabi From October 20 To 24 With Top Teams Competing
The 2024 NBE Egyptian Super Cup will take place in Abu Dhabi from October 20 to 24. This event is organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the United Sports Company, with support from the UAE and Egyptian Football Associations. The agreement to host this event in Abu Dhabi for four consecutive years was established through a Memorandum of Understanding between the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Egyptian Football Association.
Al Ahly, Ceramica, Pyramids, and Zamalek teams are scheduled to arrive in the UAE on October 17. They will engage in preliminary training on October 18, followed by official training on October 19. These sessions are crucial as they prepare for the semi-final matches. Additional training will occur on October 21 and 22, with final preparations on October 23 for both the third-place match and the final.

This year's tournament will see Al Ahly face Ceramica Cleopatra on Sunday, October 20, at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at 21:00 UAE time. Meanwhile, Zamalek will compete against Pyramids at Al Nahyan Stadium at 17:05. The final match is set for Thursday, October 24, at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium at 21:00. On the same day, the third-place match will take place at Al Nahyan Stadium at 17:05.
Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, highlighted that hosting the NBE Egyptian Super Cup again underscores the strong relationship between the UAE and Egypt. He remarked that this event is a vital step towards achieving their goal of attracting major sporting events regionally and internationally.
Al Awani further stated: "The upcoming hosting event is a significant step in achieving the Abu Dhabi Sports Council's ambitious goal of attracting major regional, continental, and international sporting events. This aligns with Abu Dhabi's established reputation as a premier destination for world-class athletes, teams, and sports leaders." He also expressed excitement about hosting the event again in Abu Dhabi.
"We are thrilled to host the NBE Egyptian Super Cup in Abu Dhabi," he added. "Building on the success of past events, we are committed to providing a world-class experience for all involved." Last year’s champions were Al Ahly.
The decision to host this prestigious tournament reflects Abu Dhabi's commitment to being a hub for international sports events. It highlights their dedication to offering top-notch experiences for athletes and fans alike while strengthening ties with Egypt through sports diplomacy.
