Nawal Al Hosany Breaks New Ground As First Middle Eastern Recipient Of Energy Institute’s President’s Award
Dr. Nawal Al Hosany, the UAE's Permanent Representative to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), has been honored with the Energy Institute’s President’s Award. This recognition comes as a testament to her significant contributions towards advancing the energy transition, promoting renewable energy, and advocating for gender inclusivity within the energy sector on multiple fronts. The award ceremony took place last night in London, marking a high point of the International Energy Week.
By receiving this award, Dr. Al Hosany has set a precedent as the inaugural recipient from the Middle East to be acknowledged with the Energy Institute’s most distinguished accolade. In addition to the President’s Award, she was also granted an Honorary Fellowship to the Energy Institute, further solidifying her standing in the energy community.
