NAVA Partners With CEER To Launch Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Diploma Programme In Saudi Arabia
The National Automotive and Vehicles Academy (NAVA) has partnered with CEER, Saudi Arabia's first homegrown electric vehicle brand, to introduce an Intermediate Diploma Program in Automotive Manufacturing Technology. This collaboration was formalised during the "Generation Future Day" at the 21st General Conference of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Riyadh, under the auspices of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef.
This initiative aims to bolster Saudi Arabia's automotive sector by training 300 local trainees over the coming years. The program is designed to enhance national capabilities in electric vehicle manufacturing, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives to develop competitive national industries. By focusing on industrial localisation and productivity, it seeks to prepare a new generation of Saudi talent ready to lead the sector.

Mohammed Al-Suhaim, Managing Director of NAVA Academy, highlighted that this agreement extends the academy’s commitment to supporting national industrial transformation. He stated: "At NAVA, we are proud to be an active partner in developing the electric vehicle sector in the Kingdom. Our role goes beyond delivering training programs; it extends to empowering Saudi youth to join high-quality jobs within leading national companies like CEER, which enhances the presence of national talents in modern industries."
CEER's Chief Executive James DeLuca emphasised their dedication to nurturing local talent as a catalyst for innovation and growth. He remarked: "As part of our role in igniting the Kingdom’s automotive industry, we believe that developing national talent is a key driver of innovation and growth. As a founding partner of NAVA, we are committed to equipping Saudi technicians with the knowledge and skills needed to lead the future of the automotive sector in the Kingdom."
This strategic partnership not only supports industrial goals but also contributes significantly towards achieving Saudi Vision 2030. By focusing on training and qualifying local talent, it aims to create a skilled workforce capable of advancing modern industries within Saudi Arabia. The collaboration between NAVA and CEER is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the future of automotive manufacturing technology in the region.
The agreement reflects a broader effort to enhance national productivity by fostering skills development among young Saudis. It underscores a commitment to building a robust foundation for sustainable growth within the automotive sector while ensuring that local talents are well-prepared for emerging opportunities.
This initiative marks an important step towards realising Saudi Arabia's ambitions for its automotive industry. By equipping trainees with essential skills and knowledge, it lays the groundwork for future leaders who will drive innovation and progress within this vital sector.
