Nationwide Fuel Station And Service Centre Inspection Campaign Launched For Hajj Readiness

The Kingdom has initiated its 10th comprehensive inspection campaign for fuel stations and service centres, spanning 23 cities and governorates. This four-week initiative, launched on Sunday, involves over 300 inspectors from 11 government bodies. It coincides with the Hajj pilgrimage and Eid Al-Adha holiday, ensuring readiness during this busy period.

Inspectors will assess compliance with key regulations at these facilities. They will check the availability and quality of petroleum products like gasoline, diesel, and lubricants. Samples will be taken to ensure they meet approved specifications. Additionally, inspectors will verify licenses, permits, and the maintenance of mosques and their facilities at service centres.

Inspection Campaign for Fuel Stations Ahead of Hajj

The campaign is organised by the permanent executive committee for fuel stations and service centres. The committee is chaired by the Ministry of Energy and includes representatives from various ministries such as Municipalities and Housing, Interior, Finance, Transport and Logistic Services, Tourism, Media, Commerce, Environment, Water and Agriculture, Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, and Human Resources and Social Development.

The Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization also plays a role in these inspections. They participate in all campaigns to ensure that fuel stations adhere to set standards. This collaboration aims to maintain high-quality services across the Kingdom's fuel stations.

Consumers are encouraged to report any issues related to fuel stations or service centres. They can contact the Ministry of Energy’s partner care centre at 1914 or 8001244777. Alternatively, reports can be made via the partner service app available on both the App Store and Google Play or through the committee’s X platform account (@FSEC_KSA).

This proactive approach ensures that any non-compliance is swiftly addressed. By involving the public in monitoring efforts, authorities aim to enhance transparency and accountability within the sector.

This inspection campaign highlights a commitment to maintaining high standards in service provision during peak periods like Hajj and Eid Al-Adha. Through rigorous checks and public involvement, authorities strive to ensure that all facilities operate efficiently and safely.
