National Human Rights Institution Conducts Workshop To Promote Domestic Workers' Rights In Abu Dhabi

The National Human Rights Institution (NHRI) recently held its inaugural awareness workshop at a domestic worker recruitment centre in Abu Dhabi. This event, organised with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), aimed to enhance understanding and protect the rights of domestic workers. It is part of a broader initiative to introduce NHRI’s mission and collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure equitable working conditions.

Dr. Saeed Al Ghfeli, Secretary-General of the NHRI, led the workshop, explaining NHRI's role in promoting human rights within the UAE. He discussed the institution's foundation under Federal Law No. 12 of 2021, detailing its main responsibilities and strategic goals. Dr. Al Ghfeli also highlighted various initiatives by NHRI to advance human rights across different sectors.
