UAE To Boost SME Access To Government Tenders With New National Forum
The Ministry of Economy (MoEc) is set to inaugurate the ‘National Forum for Small and Medium Enterprises - Government Procurement’ on Tuesday, at the prestigious Godolphin Ballroom of the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai. This initiative aims to empower Emirati entrepreneurs by providing them with a competitive edge in securing tenders and contracts from federal entities and national companies participating in the event.
With over 80 federal entities and national companies, alongside numerous SME owners expected to attend, the Forum is poised to be a significant event. It will showcase 30 entities offering digital platforms to display tender and contract terms specifically available to Emirati entrepreneurs. Moreover, these platforms will extend valuable advice and support to help attendees leverage these opportunities effectively.

The Forum will also introduce various initiatives designed to bolster national SME owners, facilitating business growth and access to new projects. Highlighting the importance of this event, a series of discussions will be held featuring 26 speakers. These discussions will focus on legislation and policies aimed at supporting economic growth through government procurement, success stories of national business owners, and the challenges encountered in securing government tenders.
Key programmes such as the National Programme for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, the Digital Procurement Platform (DPP), and the Hafez and Nafis programmes will be highlighted during the Forum. These initiatives offer substantial benefits and are crucial for keeping participants updated on support mechanisms for national businesses.
The Ministry of Economy has extended an invitation to all UAE entrepreneurs to join the event. This presents a unique opportunity for them to enhance their contributions towards the development of the national economy and improve their competitiveness on both regional and global stages.
