National Energy Services Company Tarshid Receives TARSHEED Award For Energy Efficiency In Gulf Region

The National Energy Services Company, known as Tarshid, has been honoured with the "TARSHEED Conserving Building Competition" award for the GCC countries. This accolade was presented by Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) during the "Tarsheed for Energy and Water Efficiency Forum 2024" at Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North in Doha last Monday. The award recognises Tarshid's leadership in promoting energy efficiency and resource conservation.

Tarshid's headquarters is equipped with advanced technologies to optimise energy use. These include a VRV air conditioning system, a Building Management System (BMS), and smart motion sensors that adjust lighting and cooling based on occupancy. Such innovations ensure significant energy savings when spaces are not in use.

The building incorporates cutting-edge smart energy management systems alongside best practices in operation and maintenance. Environmentally friendly materials are used throughout, enhancing sustainability. The design also improves air quality through integrated green spaces and maximises natural light from its four facades.

Strategically located in the capital, the headquarters encourages public transport use, aiming to lower its carbon footprint. This location choice aligns with Tarshid's commitment to environmental responsibility by reducing reliance on private vehicles.

Waleed Al-Ghreri, CEO of Tarshid, expressed pride in receiving this award.
