National Cybersecurity Authority Licenses Tier 1 Managed Security Operations Center Providers In Saudi Arabia
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has revealed the companies granted Tier 1 licenses for Managed Security Operations Center (MSOC) services. These licenses enable providers to offer comprehensive MSOC services to various organizations, including those in government and private sectors managing Critical National Infrastructures (CNIs). This initiative aligns with NCA's goals to bolster Saudi Arabia's cybersecurity sector and stimulate investment.
Tier 1 licenses were awarded to SITE, sirar by stc, Haboob, Cyberani by Aramco Digital, TCC, and SAMI-AEC. These companies can now deliver MSOC services to beneficiary organizations. Their role includes enhancing cybersecurity measures, identifying cyber threats, and suggesting mitigation strategies. This licensing phase follows the "Regulatory Framework for Licensing Managed Security Operations Center Services and the National Policy for Managed Security Operations Centers."

The NCA mandates that organizations owning or operating CNIs must use a Tier 1-licensed MSOC service provider for their Security Operations Center (SOC) activities. As the national authority on cybersecurity in Saudi Arabia, the NCA is dedicated to fortifying the Kingdom's cybersecurity framework. It aims to protect critical interests, national security, infrastructure, priority sectors, and government services.
In addition to its regulatory role, the NCA is instrumental in promoting growth within Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity sector. It encourages innovation and investment while also licensing individuals and non-governmental entities for cybersecurity-related operations. The NCA's efforts are crucial in ensuring a secure digital environment across the nation.
This strategic move by the NCA not only strengthens national cybersecurity but also improves services for national organizations. By fostering a robust cybersecurity sector, the NCA aims to safeguard vital interests and enhance overall security measures within Saudi Arabia.
