National Competitiveness Center Invites Public Input On 20 Key Economic Projects Via Istitlaa Platform

The National Competitiveness Center (NCC) has introduced 20 projects on its Public Consultation Platform, Istitlaa. These projects, developed with eight government agencies, focus on economic and development matters. The NCC encourages feedback from the public, government bodies, and private sector before final approval.

One notable project is "Standards & Technical Guidelines for Waste Management in Camps during Hajj Season," crafted by the National Center for Waste Management. This initiative outlines waste management protocols for camps at holy sites during Hajj. Feedback can be submitted via the Istitlaa platform.

Public Feedback Invited on Key Economic Projects

The Supreme Authority for Industrial Security has proposed a project titled "Requirements for Practicing Security Service Activities." This aims to regulate licensed security services. Public consultation is open until a specified date. Meanwhile, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has launched a project called "Cosmetic Product Safety Requirements for Cosmetic and Personal Care Products."

This SFDA project seeks to establish safety guidelines for cosmetics and personal care products. It focuses on general safety requirements, labeling, and packaging standards to ensure consumer safety. The public can provide input until a designated deadline.

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) invites public opinion on the Draft Implementing Regulation of the Real Estate Transaction Tax Law (RETT). This draft aims to clarify RETT definitions, tax scope, due dates, exemptions, and refund provisions. The consultation period will conclude on a specified date.

These initiatives reflect increased transparency in legislative processes through the Istitlaa platform. By involving citizens, government entities, and businesses in regulatory discussions, it promotes public participation in shaping business-related regulations.

The introduction of draft regulations and similar projects via Istitlaa underscores a commitment to openness in law-making. It allows diverse stakeholders to share their insights on proposed changes affecting the business landscape.
