National And Reserve Service Career Fair In Dubai Aims To Empower Emirati Graduates With Job Opportunities
Major General Staff Pilot Ishaq Saleh Mohammed Al Balushi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Joint Capabilities at the Ministry of Defence, inaugurated the 8th National and Reserve Service Career Fair. This event is being held from 12th to 14th May 2025 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai. The fair aims to empower national service graduates by offering them numerous job opportunities.
The fair features over 80 entities from both public and private sectors, covering about 30 different fields. These organisations aim to support over 20,000 Emirati participants in achieving professional success and contributing to national development. The event is organised by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding.

During his tour of the exhibition, Major General Al Balushi was accompanied by senior officers from the Ministry of Defence and other officials. He was briefed on the various job opportunities available to recruits and the initiatives supported by the Ministry of Defence. The goal is to build a promising generation capable of driving innovation and contributing to economic growth.
Al Balushi remarked, "The 8th edition of the National and Reserve Service Career Fair serves as a pioneering national platform that reflects the commitment of the country’s institutions to empower national service graduates and integrate them into the labor market. This initiative contributes to enhancing the capabilities of national talent and developing human capital. At the Ministry of Defence, we are proud to see this distinguished group of Emirati youth, who have demonstrated discipline and competence during their service, and who are now fully prepared to assume impactful roles across the country's vital sectors."
The fair includes more than 30 specialised workshops delivered by over 40 speakers, including global experts. These sessions cover critical topics such as emerging technologies' impact on workplaces, AI's role in transforming jobs, and innovation's future. They aim to enhance skills for job interviews and career path selection.
This annual event underscores direct connections between national service graduates and recruiting entities. It establishes effective communication channels while reflecting UAE’s vision to empower youth. The belief that national talent is true wealth drives efforts to prepare capable leaders ready for contemporary challenges.

The fair is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Defence with support from NMDC Group, EDGE Group, AD Ports Group, Bin Hamoodah Group, University of Khorfakkan, IIT Delhi – Abu Dhabi, Waterfalls Global, Abu Dhabi Media Network, Young Vision, Manpower Group, International Business Magazine LLC, Edarabia, and INDEX Media.
The National and Reserve Service Authority envisions integrating recruits into labour markets through direct communication with participating government and private sector entities. Besides job opportunities, it provides a comprehensive knowledge platform through workshops addressing global labour market shifts.
This initiative helps build tech-savvy talent equipped for future challenges across various sectors. It enhances readiness for evolving job markets while broadening knowledge horizons aligned with global requirements.
