NAMA Talks Initiative Aims To Empower Women Through Financial Awareness And Legal Insights

NAMA Women Advancement recently launched its community-focused initiative, "NAMA Talks," at Aljada in Sharjah. This programme is designed to enhance women's awareness and support them in making informed choices that boost their involvement in various life areas. The inaugural session focused on empowering women by understanding financial risks, targeting women aged 18 and above, including students, employees, housewives, retirees, and recent graduates.

The event was held in collaboration with the Sharjah Judicial Department. Judge Dr. Salama Rashid Al Ketbi, Head of the Judicial Inspection Department, shared her expertise on common financial risks faced by women. She provided insights drawn from real court cases and discussed legal protections available to help women secure their financial rights effectively.

NAMA Talks Focuses on Women's Empowerment

Mariam Al Hammadi, Director-General of NAMA, emphasised the importance of awareness for empowerment. She stated that informed women are better equipped to protect their assets and make decisions that strengthen their stability within families and society. "Through ‘NAMA Talks’, we create space for meaningful discussions on real-life challenges that women face, providing content that promotes knowledge and drives positive change," she said.

This session marked the beginning of a series of five planned under the 'NAMA Talks' initiative this year. The series will cover three main themes: financial risks; the significance of women's careers in STEM fields; and income generation through Artificial Intelligence. These sessions aim to foster an environment where women can thrive across all life aspects while raising awareness about critical social and economic issues.

The initiative's goal is to provide a platform for women to engage in discussions that promote knowledge and drive positive change. By addressing these pressing challenges, NAMA aims to empower women with the tools they need to navigate today's complex world confidently.
