Nakheel Awards Over AED 750 Million In Contracts For Palm Jebel Ali Infrastructure Development

Nakheel, a part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded contracts worth over AED750 million for Palm Jebel Ali's infrastructure. These contracts, given to DBB Contracting LLC, are set for completion by the end of 2026. This marks a key step in developing this waterfront destination in Dubai. DBB Contracting LLC has previously worked on Palm Jebel Ali, handling public access and road projects.

Spanning 13.4 kilometres, Palm Jebel Ali consists of seven islands with 16 fronds and over 90 kilometres of beachfront. This development aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, aiming to increase public beach access. It will feature mixed-use neighbourhoods with views of the Arabian Gulf, offering recreational spaces and smart city technologies.

The infrastructure work covers Fronds A to G, including utility connections and ground works like excavation and backfilling. Road and pavement construction are also part of this scope. Additionally, it involves utility works for 11kV power distribution and telecoms. The Spine District's infrastructure includes utility mains and road construction.

Palm Jebel Ali is a visionary project by Nakheel, setting a global standard in waterfront living. Unveiled by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, it supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. This project marks a new growth corridor in Jebel Ali, highlighting Dubai's expansion efforts.
