Najeeb Al Zaman Secures Victory At UAE President’s Cup For Purebred Arabian Horses In Saudi Arabia

The 32nd UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses concluded with Najeeb Al Zaman winning the final round. This event took place on 21 November at King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh. The series has been a significant success in Saudi Arabia since its inception in 2018, drawing considerable attention and positive feedback.

The race, held under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to promote Arabian horse racing globally. It supports owners and breeders worldwide while preserving the heritage of Purebred Arabian horses. The race covered 1,800 meters on dirt and offered one of Saudi Arabia's largest prize purses, totaling SAR 1.5 million.

Najeeb Al Zaman Wins UAE President’s Cup

Najeeb Al Zaman, rated 125, is sired by Hilal Al Zaman out of Labwah bint Asad Saif. The horse showcased an impressive performance, securing victory for Safwat Al Adiyat Stables. Dr. Mohammed Al Najeifi bred the horse, with Abdulaziz Al Mousa as the trainer and Abdullah Al Fairooz as the jockey.

The final moments saw Najeeb Al Zaman surge ahead decisively, finishing first with a time of 2:06:21. Nadeem Al Molook Al Khalidiah followed in second place, while Al Harith secured third position.

The event was attended by notable figures such as Matar Salem Ali Maran Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; Saeed Al Mehiri from the Supreme Organising Committee; Ziyad Al Mogren, CEO of Riyadh Equestrian Club; and Mutaib Al Shammari from Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Arabian Horse Centre. The award ceremony celebrated the strong ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Musallam Salem Al Ameri from the Supreme Organising Committee expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his support throughout the Cup's global rounds. He noted that this year's Saudi round achieved unprecedented success with significant media coverage and participation from Arab and European racecourses.

Strategic Presence at Prominent Venues

Al Ameri highlighted their presence at King Abdulaziz Racecourse as part of a strategy to feature at leading racing venues worldwide. He praised the organisational excellence demonstrated during this round, reflecting the stature of the Precious Cup series.

He also commended the exceptional quality seen in this final round regarding organisation, participation, and engagement from owners and breeders. This success signifies the series' continued growth and rising prominence each year.
