Naif Arab University Spearheads Workshop On Securing Oil Facilities Against Emerging Threats
The President of Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Dr. Abdulmajeed bin Abdullah Al-Banyan, highlighted the university's commitment to hosting numerous conferences, forums, and workshops annually. During his speech at the workshop "Protection of Oil Facilities: Risks and Threats," Dr. Al-Banyan emphasized the importance of international collaboration. The event was organized by the university in Moscow with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Russian Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Relief. He noted that such workshops provide Arab security personnel opportunities to learn global best practices and exchange expertise on addressing security challenges effectively.

Dr. Nikolai Kopylov, Director of the Fire Safety Institute, praised Naif Arab University for its efforts to enhance international cooperation in civil protection. He stressed the importance of collaboration and exchanging expertise to develop personnel capabilities in these fields. He called for a strategic partnership between both sides to achieve common goals.
Under Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz's directives, Minister of Interior of Saudi Arabia and Honorary President of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers, the university aims to enhance its leadership through a strategic plan. A team of elite Arab and international experts facilitates these efforts in an environment equipped with advanced security technologies.
The workshop scheduled from August 27 to 29 will gather 90 experts from Arab countries and international organizations. They will explore modern technological methods for securing oil facilities and exchange expertise in civil protection and defense. This initiative aligns with the university's role as the scientific body responsible for implementing aspects of Arab security strategies.
