Nahyan Bin Zayed Celebrates Success At The 13th Annual Shooting Championships 2025 In Abu Dhabi

H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, attended the closing ceremony of the 13th Annual Shooting Championships 2025. This event took place at the Al Reef Shooting Field in Abu Dhabi and was organised by the Support Units Command.

Upon arrival, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed was greeted by Major General (Retired) Salem Ali Al Ghafli, Commander of the Support Units, along with senior officers and commanders. The event highlighted the significant backing sports receive from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

H.H. praised the championship for showcasing young talents capable of competing fairly across various sporting arenas. He emphasised that the armed forces are committed to creating an environment that encourages personnel to engage in competitions and sporting events.

The 13th Annual Shooting Competitions are pivotal for both military and civilian sectors. They promote competition, improve marksmanship standards, and enhance participants' skills through diverse contests. This has a positive impact on all involved.

This year's championship saw 5,680 shooters participate. Since its inception 12 years ago, over 67,000 shooters have taken part in these events. Qualifying rounds were held at four shooting clubs: Al Reef Club in Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra Shooting Range, Masfout Shooting Range, and Fujairah Shooting Range.

A total of 27 competitions covered various shooting disciplines this year. These events are crucial in fostering a competitive spirit among participants while elevating their skills in marksmanship.

His Highness honoured the winners of this year's shooting competitions. He expressed his sincere gratitude to everyone involved in organising the event and extended his best wishes for success in future competitions.
