Nahyan Bin Mubarak Receives Chair Of Italian Senate’s Foreign Affairs And Defence Committee To Discuss Cooperation

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, hosted Stefania Gabriella Anastasia Craxi, Chair of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee in the Italian Senate, in Abu Dhabi. The meeting focused on enhancing the strong ties between the UAE and Italy. Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, was also present during this significant gathering.

The discussions highlighted the robust friendship and cooperation between both nations. They explored ways to enhance relations in various sectors such as foreign policy, defence, economy, culture, and education. This collaboration aims to serve the mutual interests of both countries effectively.

Sheikh Nahyan expressed his pleasure at Craxi's visit, which underscores the historical ties between the UAE and Italy. He stated that under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, the UAE values building bridges of cooperation globally. "The UAE-Italy relationship stands as a successful model of a partnership based on mutual respect and shared interests," he said.

He further emphasised Italy's significant role on the international stage. Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation to address global challenges like climate change, food security, energy, education, youth empowerment, and promoting tolerance.
