Nahyan Bin Mubarak Opens 12th Annual MENA Investor Conference To Discuss Investment Opportunities
The 12th Annual MENA Investor Conference, organised by Arqaam Capital and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), was inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. Over 500 senior executives, global investors, and policymakers gathered in Abu Dhabi to discuss investment opportunities and market changes in the region.
Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the UAE's financial system as a model of openness and resilience. He stressed the importance of building an economic future based on sustainability, social responsibility, and international cooperation. "The Arqaam Capital Conference is a premier platform that brings together financial leaders from our region and across the world," he stated.

This year's conference theme, 'From Vision to Value Creation: Navigating MENA’s Market Transformation,' reflects real-world steps towards a prosperous future for the UAE and Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Nahyan described Abu Dhabi as not only a hub for finance and business but also a city of innovation serving humanity.
The Abu Dhabi 2030 Vision aims to create a cohesive society that maintains cultural identity while embracing global openness. Key elements include sustainable development, a knowledge-based economy, public-private partnerships, renewable energy, education, health, arts, transparency, and international collaboration.
Sheikh Nahyan expressed pride in the UAE's progress under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership. The country has become a dynamic hub serving over two billion people across various regions. "We have capitalised on our natural resources to build a diversified, secure, and innovation-driven economy," he said.
The declaration of 2025 as the ‘Year of Community’ underscores the UAE’s commitment to openness and social cohesion. Sheikh Nahyan noted that since its founding 54 years ago, the UAE has followed an open economic model encouraging free trade and investment flows.
Values-Based Approach
Sheikh Nahyan urged investors to adopt values-based finance approaches. "As Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, I view your presence today as a call to reflect the economic value of tolerance," he stated. He encouraged integrating financial responsibility, environmental stewardship, and social equity into strategies.
The conference coincides with the UAE’s declaration of 2025 as the Year of Community. Discussions emphasised building value-driven financial systems prioritising human well-being over short-term gains. Day one included closed-door sessions and workshops fostering direct access to deal flow in MENA.
Participants expressed optimism about shaping the next phase of financial market evolution rather than just attracting global capital. The conference continues with deeper sector insights and expanded dialogue between investors and corporates.
Sheikh Nahyan concluded with confidence in global financial leaders' ability to innovate and enhance long-term sustainability in the sector. "I wish you a productive and enriching conference - one that leads to knowledge, collaboration, and lasting partnerships," he said.
