Nahyan Bin Mubarak Discusses Tolerance With Swiss Special Envoy For Middle East And North Africa

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, met with Wolfgang Amadeus Brulhart, Swiss Special Envoy for the Middle East and North Africa, in Abu Dhabi. Arthur Mattli, the Swiss Ambassador to the UAE, was also present. The discussions focused on promoting peaceful coexistence and tolerance across the Middle East and North Africa.

Both parties highlighted the shared priorities of the UAE and Switzerland in fostering peace and understanding among nations amidst current global challenges. Sheikh Nahyan praised the strong cooperation between the two countries. He emphasised that under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, tolerance and coexistence are core elements of the UAE's national identity.

Nahyan bin Mubarak Meets Swiss Envoy

Sheikh Nahyan underscored the importance of international cooperation to promote a culture of peace and dialogue among civilisations. He stated that global cooperation is essential to achieving these noble goals. Expressing satisfaction with the meeting, he welcomed Brulhart and his delegation to the UAE, wishing them success in their mission.

Brulhart commended the UAE's pioneering role in promoting tolerance at regional and global levels. He noted that these efforts reflect a clear commitment to peace and cultural understanding principles. Switzerland views the UAE as a strategic partner in promoting dialogue and cooperation among nations.

He expressed his country's keen interest in enhancing cooperation with the UAE through initiatives contributing to peaceful coexistence. Brulhart also lauded the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence for its impactful programmes that enhance human fraternity values.
