Nahyan Bin Mubarak Celebrates Graduation Of AUE's 14th Cohort Known As The Guinness Batch

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) celebrated its fourteenth graduation ceremony, known as the "Guinness Batch," at Festival Arena Dubai – Outdoor Hall. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, attended the event, which coincided with the UAE’s 54th Union Day celebrations. The ceremony was marked by a significant achievement: AUE entered the Guinness World Records for creating the largest ghutra.

Sheikh Nahyan expressed his pleasure at attending the event, celebrating 300 graduates from various disciplines. He emphasised their role in advancing progress and development globally. He stated, "I am pleased to be with you tonight, on this occasion, to celebrate the graduation of a new cohort comprising 300 male and female graduates in various disciplines from the American University in the Emirates."

The university's achievement of entering Guinness World Records was highlighted during the ceremony. Ms. Mbali Nkosi presented AUE with an official record certificate for creating the world's largest ghutra. This accomplishment underscores AUE's innovative spirit and commitment to national identity.

Sheikh Nahyan praised AUE's success and excellence in education. He noted its dedication to high performance standards and obtaining national and international accreditation. He remarked on students' understanding of opportunities at AUE, saying they engage with determination to achieve national aspirations while upholding UAE values.

Sheikh Nahyan acknowledged President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's support for education in the UAE. He expressed gratitude for His Highness's emphasis on empowering youth through education. "This annual celebration of graduates is an appropriate occasion to express deep gratitude and appreciation for the support," he affirmed.

He also extended thanks to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for prioritising human development in UAE’s progress. Sheikh Nahyan appreciated efforts ensuring resources are available for youth to contribute effectively to development across the region.

During his speech, Sheikh Nahyan congratulated graduates' families and friends, sharing their joy in this milestone achievement. He expressed appreciation for AUE’s community efforts with this cohort, wishing them continued success.

The evening commenced with an Emirati band's musical performance reflecting national identity in a modern style. A visual presentation titled "Mohammedain Al-Ezz" celebrated UAE’s Union Day, earning audience admiration.
