Sheikh Nahyan was accompanied by Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group. During his tour, he learned about the latest equipment and technologies on display. The exhibition also hosted over 20 live shows and heritage competitions, including traditional cooking contests and Arabic coffee workshops.
Sheikh Nahyan met with officials from participating companies to discuss the importance of such events. He emphasised their role in enhancing Al Ain's status as a tourist and cultural destination, especially after being named Gulf Tourism Capital for 2025. "The inaugural edition of the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition is an exceptional event that reflects the UAE’s vision of combining authenticity and innovation," he stated.
He further noted that under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, the UAE continues to promote national heritage while supporting innovation. Commitment to Heritage
The exhibition highlighted a strong local presence with 88 percent participation from UAE companies. This underscores Al Ain's cultural significance while showcasing its openness to international collaboration. Sheikh Nahyan remarked on this wide participation: "The wide participation of local and international companies we are witnessing today confirms Al Ain’s distinguished status as a cultural and tourism destination."
The event celebrated Emirati traditions through performances like the traditional Al Yola dance. It also focused on sustainable practices in hunting and equestrian activities. This aligns with the UAE's commitment to preserving cultural heritage while promoting environmental protection.
