Sheikh Hamdan Launches ‘MyDubai Communities’ For Engaging Dubai Experiences

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, today launched 'MyDubai Communities’, a community-based digital platform that gives citizens, residents and visitors alike the opportunity to explore and participate in the diverse range of activities that the city has to offer.

This initiative builds on the #MyDubai project from 2014, which celebrated daily life in the emirate and highlighted its unique culture and experiences.

The platform is accessible via mydubaicommunities.com and social media channels like Instagram and TikTok. It aims to connect various communities, such as those focused on culture, sports, and wellness, under one umbrella. This launch coincides with the UAE's 2025 Year of Community celebration, which seeks to strengthen community ties by fostering inclusive spaces for collaboration and shared experiences.

With a population of 3.85 million people from nearly 200 nationalities, Dubai offers a rich tapestry of cultures. The MyDubai Communities platform helps users find groups that match their interests, enhancing communication and connections among residents. Initially featuring around 100 interest-based communities, it provides opportunities for creativity and belonging while aiming to expand annually.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai is entering a new era of excellence. The city prioritises its people's happiness and well-being through innovative strategies and initiatives that promote public health and cultural diversity while fostering a cohesive community.

The MyDubai Communities platform aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to position Dubai among the world's top three cities in terms of living standards. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan invited everyone to engage with the platform to support Dubai's social vision by participating in diverse community activities.

Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), stated: "In alignment with the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the launch of the MyDubai Communities platform underscores Dubai’s commitment to fostering a profound sense of belonging and engagement among its citizens, residents and visitors."

The platform serves as a gateway for discovering events across various categories like recreational sports, cultural activities, and professional networking sessions. It caters to diverse interests such as car enthusiasts, cyclists, art lovers, reading clubs, mothers' groups, and women-only communities.

Designed with user-friendliness in mind, MyDubai Communities allows users to explore dynamic communities easily or list existing ones quickly. This ensures a seamless experience for all users seeking to engage with Dubai's vibrant community landscape.

The initiative represents another step towards solidifying Dubai's reputation as an inclusive global hub offering high-quality services and unique community experiences that foster belonging.
