My Health Conference 2024 Brings Together 36 Experts To Discuss Health And Wellbeing

The 10th edition of the 'My Health' Conference, themed 'Health and Wellbeing,' will take place under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi. The event will gather over 36 experts in various health fields, including medical, physical, and mental health, as well as lifestyle, sports, and nutrition. Scheduled for October 23-24 at Al Razi Hall, University of Sharjah, the conference will feature 22 diverse sessions.

On the first day, nine sessions are planned. These include four main sessions, three panel discussions, and two workshops. The opening session titled 'From Childhood to Wellbeing: The Impact of Fast Food Culture and Secrets to Longevity’ will address how modern lifestyle choices affect children's health. It will also explore the role of physical activity in enhancing overall health and quality of life.

Experts Gather for My Health Conference 2024

The second session is titled "Healthy Balance: When Does Obsession Become Harmful? How Can We Protect Ourselves from Disease and Live in Harmony with Diabetes?" This session will examine the fine line between being health-conscious and developing an unhealthy obsession. Dr. Mo’ath Fakhri Mohamed Bataineh and Dr. Elham Mohamed Al Amiri will contribute their insights on this topic.

The third session will focus on unhealthy practices related to health and beauty under the theme "Between Strength and Slimness: Facts About Proteins and Weight Loss Injections." Speakers like Dr. Amjad Hassan Jarrar and Dr. Wafaa Helmi Ayesh will share their expertise on these topics.

The fourth session titled 'What Do You Know About Yourself When You Sleep?’ will delve into sleep science. Prof Wedad Ahmed Bani Issa and Dr. Osama Kamel Al-Lala will lead this discussion, moderated by Dr. Ahmed Al Ammar.

Interactive sessions are designed to tackle key health issues. One such initiative is 'Wazen,’ presented by Dr. Mohamad Alameddine from the University of Sharjah. This program aims to promote work-life balance by encouraging healthy lifestyles among employees while raising awareness about workplace well-being.

Promoting Health in Schools

Dr. Samar Mahmoud ElFeky from WHO will discuss how schools can play a role in promoting health among future generations. Additionally, Dr. Fadwa Ghazi Abdullah Hammouh will address obesity prevalence among individuals with disabilities in Jordan, focusing on dietary habits and activity levels.

The workshops include a session led by Dr. Joseph Khoury on 'Promoting Adolescent Mental Health.’ Another workshop by Dr. Ruqayya Ahmed Fikri from Breastfeeding Friends Society focuses on 'Balancing Work and Family Life.’ These workshops aim to provide practical insights into managing mental health challenges for adolescents and balancing professional and personal responsibilities effectively.

This conference promises to be an engaging platform for discussing vital health topics with experts sharing valuable insights across various domains of health and well-being.
