MWL Welcomes UK’s Announcement To Recognise State Of Palestine And Support Two-State Solution

The Muslim World League (MWL) has expressed approval of the United Kingdom's decision to recognise the State of Palestine and its endorsement of a two-state solution. The MWL's General Secretariat released a statement where Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, commended this significant move by the British government.

Dr. Al-Issa highlighted that this decision aligns with the historical and legal rights of Palestinians, marking it as a responsible stance. He stated: "It is the responsibility of all countries around the world to stand on the right side of history by adopting a principled and legitimate position in support of justice and international legitimacy, and to bring an end to this painful humanitarian tragedy and its dangerous repercussions on the region, the international community, and the world at large."

MWL Supports UK’s Recognition of Palestine

The MWL emphasised that recognising Palestine is crucial for achieving lasting peace in the region. This recognition is seen as a step towards a just and comprehensive resolution. The MWL also acknowledged Saudi Arabia's unwavering support for Palestine, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Saudi Arabia has played a pivotal role in advocating for Palestinian rights. The Kingdom has spearheaded efforts through an international alliance aimed at implementing a two-state solution. This includes leading initiatives like presiding over the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has been actively involved in these efforts. His leadership is evident in Saudi Arabia's collaboration with France to organise a High-Level International Conference focused on peacefully resolving the Palestinian issue.

This conference aims to implement the two-state solution with significant international participation. Such initiatives underscore Saudi Arabia’s commitment to finding peaceful resolutions for longstanding conflicts in the region.

The MWL reiterated its appreciation for Saudi Arabia's dedication to this cause. The Kingdom’s actions reflect its commitment to ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East through diplomatic means.
