Muslim World League Celebrates Sponsorship Of 6,000 Malawian Orphans
The Muslim World League (MWL) recently honoured 6,000 orphans in Malawi. The ceremony saw the attendance of Malawi’s President Lazarus Chakwera and Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Muslim Scholars Association. Before the event, President Chakwera welcomed Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa at the Presidential Palace in Lilongwe.
Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa is visiting Malawi as part of a southern Africa tour. His visit aims to launch programs and initiatives while meeting various national leaders, especially from the Islamic community. The goal is to promote national coexistence within Malawi's diverse society.

During the ceremony, President Chakwera awarded Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa the Republic Medal for his dedication to orphan care. Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa expressed gratitude for Malawi's peaceful coexistence among its religiously diverse population.
