MWAN Leads IFAT Saudi Arabia As A Global Platform For A Sustainable Future

The National Center for Waste Management (MWAN) is preparing a major presence at IFAT Saudi Arabia, where MWAN will outline its role in environmental transformation and the circular economy in the Kingdom during the event in Riyadh from January 26 to 28, held under the patronage of Abdulrahman Alfadley.

At IFAT Saudi Arabia, MWAN plans to show how environmental technologies can support sustainability goals, including smarter waste handling, stronger recycling systems, and better water sector management, while focusing on practical solutions that support national plans, attract investment, and improve daily life through cleaner, more efficient services across Saudi cities and regions.

Alongside core waste and water solutions, IFAT Saudi Arabia will showcase energy recovery technologies and smart digital systems, reflecting the growing use of data-driven tools, automation, and monitoring platforms that help operators improve efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and track performance indicators aligned with national sustainability and circular economy targets.

This edition features integrated initiatives designed to raise the efficiency of waste and resource management, support the circular economy concept, and highlight the strategic importance of environmental technologies in protecting natural resources, reducing landfill dependence, and enhancing quality of life for residents and visitors across different regions of the Kingdom.

The event attracts government bodies, international companies, decision-makers, and investors who come to examine partnership opportunities, discuss environmental challenges facing different countries, and review the latest innovations, while national pavilions represent numerous states, signalling wide international participation and strong interest in Saudi Arabia’s environmental development plans.

Organisers position IFAT Saudi Arabia as the Kingdom’s largest specialised gathering focused on environmental technologies, and as part of the wider global IFAT network, which runs leading environmental exhibitions in seven countries, ensuring access to international experience, tested solutions, and global best practices that can be adapted to local conditions and regulations.

The exhibition also works as a platform to build strategic partnerships, exchange technical expertise, and present key projects with local and global partners, underlining MWAN’s stated commitment to supporting innovation, adopting advanced solutions, and backing a long-term sustainable environmental future that aligns with national development programmes and regional leadership ambitions in green sectors.

Through IFAT Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom strengthens its position as a regional centre for environmental technologies and innovation, while MWAN and participating entities use the exhibition to connect policies with real projects, encourage investment in green infrastructure, and promote practical steps that support resource efficiency, economic diversification, and environmental resilience across Saudi Arabia.
