Muslim Council Of Elders Highlights Role In Promoting Dialogue At Lahore Book Fair 2025

The Lahore International Book Fair 2025 commenced with a notable influx of visitors to the Muslim Council of Elders' pavilion. This pavilion quickly became a focal point for book lovers from various age groups and cultural backgrounds, eager to explore the Council's significant contributions to promoting dialogue and tolerance among different faiths.

The Council's participation was warmly received by leaders from executive, academic, diplomatic, and media sectors. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Baig, Chairman of PEMRA; Mr. Rana Sanaullah, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs; and journalist Najam Sethi commended the Council's efforts in fostering peace and coexistence. They highlighted the importance of its mission to nurture a culture of tolerance within diverse communities.

The pavilion showcased around 250 works in eight languages, including 12 Urdu publications on interfaith dialogue and multicultural challenges. The first day concluded positively with substantial attendance, indicating strong interest in the Council's role and intellectual contributions. The Muslim Council of Elders' pavilion will continue to host intellectual seminars, panel discussions, and visitor interactions at Hall No. 1, Pavilion R1-6 in the Lahore Expo Center until 9th February 2025.
