Muslim Council Of Elders Engages In National Festival Of Tolerance And Coexistence In UAE

The Muslim Council of Elders is actively participating in the seventh National Festival of Tolerance and Coexistence. Organised by the UAE's Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, this event runs from 14th to 16th November at Umm Al Emarat Park. The festival, themed "Hand in Hand," features a variety of events aimed at promoting tolerance and coexistence among different age groups.

Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, praised the Ministry's efforts under Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan. He highlighted their role in spreading values of tolerance both locally and globally. "The United Arab Emirates represents a leading global model in entrenching a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and human fraternity," he stated.

Muslim Council Participates in Tolerance Festival

The Council’s pavilion offers programmes for children and youth to instil values of tolerance. These activities aim to foster understanding among younger generations. Additionally, there are introductory sessions about the Council’s mission and its global initiatives to promote human fraternity and dialogue among diverse cultures and religions.

Judge Abdelsalam noted that the festival serves as a national and international platform for showcasing coexistence and diversity. It presents an Emirati model that promotes societal harmony. He emphasised that the UAE is committed to enhancing dialogue and peace through such initiatives.
