Muslim Council Of Elders To Participate In Iraq International Book Fair 2025 With Key Publications And Seminars

The Muslim Council of Elders is taking part in the 6th Iraq International Book Fair, held from 3rd to 13th December in Baghdad. The event features over 250 publications, including scholarly works and books that tackle significant intellectual and cultural topics. These works aim to correct misconceptions, promote moderate thought, and support dialogue within Islam.

Highlighting the tolerance of Islam, the pavilion showcases more than 20 works by His Eminence Professor Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders. These works emphasize the richness of Islam's intellectual and philosophical heritage. Additionally, over 25 new titles from Al-Hokama Publishing, released in 2025, are featured.

In alignment with its mission to promote peace and foster values of dialogue and tolerance, the Council is hosting seminars and lectures at its pavilion. These sessions feature leading thinkers, scholars, and academics who explore ways to enhance understanding among Islamic schools of thought. They also discuss the roles of media, women, youth, and scholars in building effective communication channels.

The Council's participation aligns with its ongoing efforts to promote intra-Islamic dialogue. This initiative follows the outcomes of the first Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference held in Bahrain last February. The conference produced the Ahlul-Qibla Call charter aimed at strengthening Muslim unity and consolidating cohesion across diverse components of the Ummah.

The pavilion offers a range of intellectual and cultural events tailored to visitors' interests. It includes a dedicated book-sales area and a children's corner with educational and entertaining activities. These initiatives aim to engage visitors while promoting enlightened thought and cultural understanding.

The Muslim Council of Elders' involvement in this book fair underscores its commitment to building bridges of communication and human coexistence. By participating in such events, the Council seeks to advance peace through dialogue and mutual respect among different cultures and communities.
