Muslim Council Of Elders Participates In New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 To Promote Peace And Dialogue
The Muslim Council of Elders is set to participate in the New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF 2025) for the third year in a row. This event will take place from February 1st to 9th, 2025, at the Bharat Mandapam Convention Center in New Delhi. The Council aims to promote peace and encourage dialogue and tolerance through its participation.
Throughout the fair, the Muslim Council of Elders will display over 250 intellectual and cultural publications. These include recent releases from Al-Hokama Publishing for 2025. Noteworthy titles are "Religion and the Nations of Greater Asia," "Peace in Africa," "The Making of International Peace," and "International Peacebuilding." These works are authored by researchers from Al Hokama Center for Peace Research.

The pavilion will also feature several new books, such as "The Quran’s Discourse on Humanity" by Ali Mohamed Hassan Al-Amari and "Imam al-Haramayn and His Influence on the Development of the Ash'ari School" by Ali Mohamed Jaber. Other notable works include "Islamic Principles on Family Organization" by Abu Al-Wafa Al-Maraghi and "Conflict Management in the Muslim World" by Dr. Idris Qasim.
Additionally, over 20 works by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, will be showcased. These aim to highlight Islam's benevolence and rich intellectual heritage. Titles include "Al-Qawl Al-Tayyib," "From My Old Notebooks," and "A View on East-West Dialogue."
The pavilion will present important publications like "Love in the Holy Quran" by HRH Prince Ghazi Bin Muhammad and "The Grand Imam and the Pope: A Thorny Path" by Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam. Other featured works include "Rules of Understanding and Mutual Understanding in Thought and Language" by Dr. Mustafa Benhamza.
Recognising translation's role in bridging civilizations, the Council will showcase 21 books translated into Hindi, Urdu, and Malay at NDWBF 2025. This selection includes six new releases for 2025, such as "Al Iktirath Fi Hoqouq Al Inath" ("Concern for Female Rights") published in Hindi and Urdu.
Seminars for Social Cohesion
The Council's pavilion will host seminars to foster discussions on social cohesion, environmental responsibility, and religion's role in addressing modern challenges. On February 2nd, a seminar titled "Utilizing Social Media to Promote Peace" will be held. Another seminar on February 4th will focus on "The Document on Human Fraternity."
A third seminar titled "Faith and the Environment: Shared Responsibilities for a Sustainable Future" is scheduled for February 7th, 2025. These seminars aim to engage participants in meaningful dialogue about pressing global issues.
This year’s translated publications include notable works like "The Voice of Change" and "Shared Global Values." Other translations feature titles such as "Confronting Islamophobia in Europe," authored by various researchers, along with Prof. Dr. Muqtedar Khan's work on governance.
The Muslim Council of Elders continues its mission to build bridges between cultures through literature and dialogue at NDWBF 2025. By showcasing diverse publications and hosting engaging seminars, it seeks to foster understanding among different communities worldwide.
