Umrah Hospitality Centre In Makkah Serves More Than Half A Million Pilgrims
The Ekram Al Joud Association for serving pilgrims has assisted more than 500,000 Umrah performers through its hospitality and welcome centre in Makkah. The initiative aims to improve visitors’ experience at the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque, supporting comfort and reassurance throughout every stage of the spiritual journey.
The association explains that the centre receives pilgrims and Umrah performers in a prepared environment with modern facilities. Services are organised as an integrated package, combining hospitality and guidance within one location. The initiative seeks to reflect generosity and care while creating a calm, orderly setting for visitors.

The hospitality and welcome centre is one of several service initiatives launched by Ekram Al Joud Association for serving pilgrims. The facility focuses on organised reception procedures and structured movement for guests. This approach helps manage large numbers, supports crowd flow around the Grand Mosque, and promotes a smoother experience for arriving groups.
CEO of the association Dr. Ahmed Al-Matrafi said the centre’s services include Iftar meals, general hospitality, and water distribution for visitors. Dr. Al-Matrafi added that reception, guidance, and supporting services are also provided. These measures assist guests’ movement and organise their arrival, helping make their visit easier and more convenient.
Dr. Al-Matrafi stated that the association’s work forms part of wider national efforts to serve pilgrims. The activities reflect support from the Kingdom’s leadership and a commitment to coordination between government and non-profit sectors. This integrated approach contributes to improving service quality and aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr. Al-Matrafi also praised volunteers and staff working at the centre. The CEO noted their dedication and sense of responsibility toward guests of the Grand Mosque. Their efforts highlight values of solidarity and benevolence in Saudi society, and reinforce an atmosphere of care, comfort, and tranquillity for pilgrims and Umrah performers.
