Muslim Council Of Elders To Showcase At International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair

The Muslim Council of Elders is marking its third consecutive year at the 9th International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair 2024. The event will take place from August 10 to 18 in Istanbul, Turkiye. The Council's involvement aligns with its mission to foster peace, dialogue, and tolerance among diverse communities.

The Council's booth will display over 220 publications in various languages. These works cover significant intellectual and cultural topics, aiming to correct misconceptions and promote enlightened, moderate thought. A notable feature is more than 20 works by His Eminence Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders.

Council Showcases at Book Fair

In addition to showcasing publications, the booth will host a distinguished cultural program. This program includes a variety of activities and events designed to engage visitors. The Council believes in translation as a bridge between civilizations, continuing efforts to translate books that advocate for peace.

This year's participation coincides with the Council's tenth anniversary. To mark this milestone, the booth will feature a series of intellectual and cultural events tailored to visitors' interests. There will also be a section dedicated to selling books and a special children's corner with entertaining and educational activities.

The International Istanbul Arabic Book Fair is the largest non-profit international Arabic book fair held outside the Arab world. This year, it will see participation from over 330 publishers from 30 countries, showcasing more than 150,000 titles.

By participating in this fair, the Muslim Council of Elders continues its mission to build bridges of cooperation among people of different races and beliefs. Their efforts aim to spread moderate thought and reinforce values of dialogue and tolerance globally.
