Music Commission Celebrates Saudi Heritage At Inaugural Tar Festival In Riyadh

The Music Commission wrapped up the inaugural Tar Festival at Abu Bakr Salem Stage in Boulevard City, Riyadh. Held from August 20 to 23, it coincided with the Esports World Cup (EWC 25025). Over four nights, the festival attracted diverse audiences who enjoyed live performances by eight local artists.

Visitors were treated to a variety of interactive experiences. These included a traditional craftsmanship market inspired by Riyadh’s Souq Al-Hilla, one of the oldest musical instrument markets in the city. Additionally, there were areas where artisans crafted musical instruments on-site, enhancing the cultural atmosphere.
