Saudi Museums Commission And Tareq Rajab Museum Sign MoU To Enhance Cultural Cooperation

The Saudi Museums Commission has partnered with the Tareq Rajab Museum in Kuwait to enhance cultural collaboration. This agreement aims to share expertise in museums, exhibitions, and Islamic heritage. It was signed in Riyadh by Mona Khazindar from the Ministry of Culture and Ziad Tareq Rajab, Director of the Tareq Rajab Museum.

The memorandum outlines several collaborative areas. These include exchanging research and scientific publications, lending artifacts from the Tareq Rajab Museum to regional museums, and sharing temporary exhibitions. Such initiatives aim to enrich cultural offerings and enhance museum collections in both nations.

MoU Signed for Cultural Cooperation Between Museums

This partnership is part of ongoing efforts to deepen cultural relations between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The agreement also involves forming a joint working group of specialists. This team will activate agreed cooperation areas and develop plans for knowledge exchange and documentation.

Mona Khazindar highlighted the significance of this collaboration. She stated that it reflects the Museums Commission’s dedication to building strategic partnerships with established private museums in the Arab region. The Tareq Rajab Museum is noted for its focus on Islamic art and heritage.

Ziad Rajab expressed pride in this partnership, viewing it as a crucial step toward connecting museum experiences across the Gulf. He emphasized that it strengthens Islamic heritage's presence in specialized exhibitions, contributing to developing museum content for both parties.
