Municipalities Minister Majed Al-Hogail Inaugurates Saudi Green Building Forum Addressing Sustainable Development

Majed Al-Hogail, the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, opened the 14th annual Saudi Green Building Forum (SGBF) today. This event is being held at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences from October 6 to 8. It gathers local and international leaders, experts, specialists, and investors focused on human and environmentally friendly services and products.

Al-Hogail emphasised in his opening remarks that this year's forum tackles a vital issue concerning the future of our environment and upcoming generations. He stressed that green buildings are not just an architectural or design preference but a crucial step towards sustainable development and environmental protection. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made notable advancements in green building initiatives. Al-Hogail highlighted that out of 5,000 green building projects in the Arab world, 2,000 have been registered within the Kingdom. This achievement underscores Saudi Arabia's dedication to implementing green buildings and marks a significant shift in urban development practices.
