Historic Election: Munerah AlRasheed To Head WCO's Global RILO Offices

In a significant development within the World Customs Organization (WCO), Munerah AlRasheed has been elected to lead the Regional Intelligence Liaison Offices (RILO) for the next two years, spanning 2025-2026. This election marks a historic milestone as AlRasheed becomes the first Arab woman to assume this prestigious position. The announcement came during the 31st Global Meeting of RILO, which took place at the WCO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

AlRasheed's election to this role is a testament to her extensive achievements and contributions in the field. Previously, she held the position of vice president and Director of the Regional Intelligence Liaison Office for the Middle East (RILO ME) at the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. Her leadership at RILO ME has been instrumental in making significant contributions to the World Customs Organization. Moreover, AlRasheed has represented 11 local offices across the Middle East region at various international meetings, conferences, and workshops, playing a crucial role in overseeing and supervising their activities.
