Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open 2025 Features Seven Top 20 WTA Players Competing In February

The Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, presented by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, is scheduled from 1st to 8th February 2025 at Zayed Sports City. This year, it boasts its most formidable line-up yet, featuring seven of the top 20 WTA Tour players. This achievement solidifies the event's reputation as a premier attraction on the global tennis stage.

Among the elite athletes competing are defending champion Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan, ranked sixth globally, and Daria Kasatkina from Russia, who holds the ninth spot. Kasatkina is eager for redemption after last year's final loss. Adding to the excitement is Switzerland's Olympic Gold Medalist Belinda Bencic, returning to form after a six-month maternity break in 2023.

Top WTA Players Set for Abu Dhabi Open 2025

Tunisia's Ons Jabeur will also participate following a shoulder injury hiatus. As a beloved figure in the Arab world, she is expected to garner significant local support. Spain's former World No. 2 Paula Badosa and Brazil's Beatriz Haddad Maia, a semi-finalist in previous editions, are also set to compete.

Emma Navarro from the US, ranked eighth worldwide and known for her powerful playstyle and consistency, has confirmed her participation late but adds significant strength to the tournament. Jelena Ostapenko (No. 17), famous for her aggressive approach, and Diana Shnaider (No. 13), who has had an impressive breakout year as the youngest player in the Top 15, will also be present.

This year's Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open goes beyond showcasing world-class tennis; it aims to create memorable experiences for attendees. The Tennis Village has been expanded significantly, making it the largest ever in this event's history.
