MoU Signed To Strengthen Collaboration Between Ras Al Khaimah And Moscow Governments

H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, observed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ras Al Khaimah and Moscow. This agreement aims to enhance collaboration in sectors like technology, trade, investment, culture, sports, and education. The MoU encourages knowledge exchange and best practices between the two municipalities.

The signing ceremony took place during a reception for a high-level Moscow delegation led by Sergey Cheremin, Minister of the Government of Moscow. Oleg Fomin, Consul General of Russia in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, also attended with his delegation. Discussions focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between the UAE and Russia.

The MoU was signed by Sergey Cheremin and Mohammed Sultan Al Qadi, Special Advisor to His Highness. It focuses on cooperation in digital transformation and smart cities while promoting knowledge exchange in telecommunications, IT, transportation, infrastructure, urban planning, environment, industrial development, and innovation.

This agreement also opens doors for increased collaboration in trade, investment, culture, sports, and education. It reflects a shared vision to drive economic growth and support comprehensive sustainable development.

Sergey Cheremin expressed gratitude for H.H. Sheikh Saud's warm reception and hospitality. He stated that the MoU signifies the deep-rooted friendship between both nations and sets the stage for enduring development on both sides.

A luncheon was hosted by H.H. Sheikh Saud in honour of the visiting delegation. The event was attended by senior officials including heads of local and federal departments as well as representatives from both parties involved.

The discussions underscored a shared commitment to advancing relations towards lasting prosperity. By leveraging mutual strengths in various sectors, both parties aim to achieve progress that benefits their respective communities.
