Mothers’ Endowment Fund Surpasses Dh505 Million In First Week
In a significant philanthropic move, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, initiated the Mothers’ Endowment campaign with the noble aim of supporting education for millions worldwide. This initiative has successfully garnered Dh505 million in donations merely a week following its launch. The campaign, which seeks to establish an Dh1 billion endowment fund, has witnessed an overwhelming response from various sectors including businessmen, individuals, and both public and private sector companies.
This massive community response underscores the deeply ingrained culture of giving within the UAE community, showcasing their readiness to back initiatives aimed at providing education, training, and empowerment to underprivileged individuals. Such efforts are designed to enhance their quality of life and foster development and stability within their communities.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), highlighted that the Mothers’ Endowment campaign mirrors His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision for sustainable good. He emphasized the directive to utilize MBRGI’s capabilities and expertise to cater to the needs of underprivileged populations globally.
Al Gergawi further elaborated on the campaign's objective to honour mothers by creating an educational endowment fund. He pointed out the timely nature of this initiative, considering the challenging conditions faced by hundreds of millions of children and youth worldwide that deprive them of their basic right to education. Contributions can be made through the campaign’s website (mothersfund.ae), a dedicated call centre via toll-free number (800 9999), bank transfers in UAE dirham to Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201), and SMS by sending "Mother" to numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038) for Etisalat by e& users.
Additionally, donations can be made through the DubaiNow app by selecting the "Donations" tab and Dubai’s community contributions platform Jood.
