The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to enhance the skills of ministry employees in areas such as strategic foresight, leadership, digital innovation, and design thinking. The collaboration aligns with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology's goals, specifically Operation 300bn, to boost the industrial sector's growth and competitiveness.

The partnership will utilise the Dubai Future Academy to offer training programmes for MoIAT employees. Such skills are crucial for implementing national strategies and improving future readiness. The initiative aims to empower the workforce to contribute significantly to economic growth and sustainable development.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MoIAT, stated that this collaboration supports the ministry's mission to foster innovation. "In line with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, which aims to foster a culture of innovation, as part of the ministry’s mission to boost industry’s contribution to economic growth and sustainable development, this collaboration will empower our workforce to enhance the growth and competitiveness of the UAE’s industrial sector."

Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of DFF, highlighted that this partnership encourages creativity and knowledge-sharing among government teams. "This partnership promotes creativity, innovation, and knowledge-sharing between government teams. It will help design the future of government work, implement plans, and strengthen collaboration in line with the leadership's goals." The agreement also facilitates participation in global events organised by DFF.

The MoU was signed at Dubai Future Academy's headquarters by Dr. Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi from MoIAT and Abdulaziz Al Jaziri from DFF. Senior officials from both organisations attended the signing ceremony. This partnership will provide access to national projects and education programmes while supporting research and development initiatives.

By fostering an environment where knowledge exchange is prioritised, MoIAT employees can engage in forums and conferences globally. This exposure will help them learn best practices and advanced technologies relevant to their fields. The collaboration is expected to strengthen ties between government entities while aligning with leadership goals.

The agreement marks a significant step towards enhancing governmental capabilities through strategic partnerships. By focusing on skill development in key areas like digital innovation and leadership, it aims to prepare employees for future challenges while contributing positively to national economic objectives.
