MoHAP And SEDD Sign MoU To Enhance Health Facility Licencing Processes In Sharjah
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to create an electronic link to simplify the licensing process for health facilities in Sharjah. By adopting digital transformation, this initiative aligns with government directives to improve regulatory services.
The MoU was signed at SEDD’s Main Office by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Under-Secretary for the Health Regulation Sector at MoHAP, and Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud, Chairman of SEDD. The event saw attendance from various managers from both organisations.

This agreement seeks to drive digital transformation in all transactions related to health facility licensing in Sharjah. It aims to enhance customer experience by speeding up and integrating government procedures. The focus is on improving efficiency, quality, and flexibility in line with "We the UAE Vision 2031."
Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri highlighted that the MoU will significantly strengthen the strategic partnership between government agencies. He stated that this will ensure seamless integration by coordinating efforts, streamlining procedures, and expediting their completion to meet customer needs.
Dr. Al Amiri further noted, "Through this agreement, we look forward to achieving strategic integration that ensures the provision of swift and efficient licencing services." He added that this will enhance the attractiveness of the health sector for investments, support sustainable growth, and boost the country's competitiveness on various performance indicators.
Meanwhile, Hamad Ali Abdalla Al Mahmoud emphasised that the MoU with MoHAP is set to foster cooperation and enhance collaborative efforts. He mentioned that they aim to implement best practices and services to develop the business sector, upgrade national performance, improve institutional competitiveness, and achieve comprehensive sustainable development.
