MoHAP To Conclude National Health And Nutrition Survey By End Of March 2025 For Enhanced Healthcare Strategies
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that the fieldwork phase for the National Health and Nutrition Survey 2024-2025 is set to conclude by the end of March. This survey, conducted with the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre and local health authorities, will transition into a detailed data validation and analysis phase after data collection.
Teams from MoHAP have started drafting a preliminary report for the survey. This initiative aims to enhance national health planning strategies, aligning with the UAE's 2030 Sustainable Development goals. The project involves strategic partners and specialised teams using advanced technology and international best practices to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

The survey seeks to update the population's health and nutrition database, measure key health performance indicators, and support policies aimed at improving healthcare services. It will provide accurate data to facilitate informed health decision-making aligned with national sustainable development objectives.
Field operations have followed a structured timeline to ensure data accuracy. Close coordination among all parties involved addresses challenges through effective planning and time management, maintaining high efficiency in the fieldwork process. The survey is seen as a strategic step toward building a sustainable healthcare system.
The Ministry collaborates closely with national, regional, and global partners to sustain a robust healthcare system aligned with UAE’s aspirations. Through strategic cooperation, data sharing, workshops, and meetings with relevant organisations, MoHAP aims to maximise effective use of data for improving healthcare quality.
Using advanced statistical methodologies, MoHAP monitors key indicators related to chronic diseases, nutritional patterns, and healthy lifestyle behaviours. This approach helps identify current health challenges and develop evidence-based development plans. The Ministry analyses data using the latest technologies alongside data science specialists.
Global Comparisons
The Ministry will conduct benchmark comparisons between current and previous national health surveys. They will also analyse UAE’s health indicators in relation to other countries in the Eastern Mediterranean region. Findings will be shared with international organisations like the World Health Organisation.
National health surveys play a crucial role in shaping comprehensive development plans for the healthcare system by providing accurate insights. Making results public helps raise health awareness among community members. MoHAP will publish results on its official website's open data page and distribute them across UAE healthcare institutions.
This survey is designed to inform future policies that improve public health and enhance residents' quality of life. By measuring various national health and social indicators, findings are shared internationally to support global health initiatives.
