MoHAP Celebrates World Patient Safety Day By Lighting UAE Landmarks In Orange

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in the UAE marked World Patient Safety Day on September 17 by illuminating several tourist sites in orange. This year's theme, "Improving diagnosis for patient safety," highlights the importance of precise and timely diagnoses in safeguarding patients. The event underscores collaboration among health authorities to uphold high healthcare standards and enhance health workers' skills.

MoHAP's initiative aims to develop an advanced health system that improves community health and achieves sustainable leadership in healthcare. Landmarks such as the Dubai Frame, Sharjah Monument, Fujairah Fort, and others were lit up. Additionally, MoHAP shared educational messages online to stress the significance of accurate and early diagnosis for patient safety.

MoHAP Lights Up UAE for Patient Safety Day

Dr Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Health Sector, emphasized the Ministry's dedication to maintaining patient safety according to international standards. He highlighted efforts to enhance healthcare practices through precise and advanced methods. "The Ministry is committed to maintaining patient safety in line with the finest international standards," he stated.

Dr Al Rand also mentioned that MoHAP is continuously developing health policies and implementing programs focused on patient safety in diagnosis and treatment. These efforts include training healthcare professionals and setting medical practice standards in facilities to meet international benchmarks.

These initiatives aim to boost effective healthcare efforts while enhancing public understanding of patients' rights and responsibilities. They support ongoing improvement and sustained excellence in the health system at both regional and international levels.
