MoHAP Explores Health Collaboration Opportunities With Serbia For Sustainable Development
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) recently engaged in discussions with the Republic of Serbia to enhance cooperation in healthcare. The focus was on improving collaborative opportunities, exchanging healthcare solutions, and fostering communication between health institutions in both nations. This meeting aimed to leverage Serbian health companies' innovative approaches and scientific expertise to support sustainable development in healthcare.
Dr Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector at MoHAP, and Dr Danica Savovic, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of Serbia in Abu Dhabi, led the discussions. Representatives from Serbia's private health sector were also present. Dr Al Amiri stressed the importance of expanding collaboration opportunities and developing health relations between the two countries.

During the meeting held in Abu Dhabi, Dr Al Amiri highlighted MoHAP's commitment to integrating global health expertise through strategic international partnerships. These partnerships aim to emphasise knowledge exchange and adherence to global best practices, aligning with the "We the UAE 2031" vision. He showcased MoHAP's achievements in delivering top-tier health regulatory services.
Dr Al Amiri outlined several areas for cooperation, including health technology and innovative healthcare solutions. He welcomed Serbian health companies to explore opportunities in the UAE, highlighting the country's openness to international collaboration. "The UAE provides an attractive environment for health investments," he stated, inviting Serbian companies offering innovative solutions.
The Serbian delegation praised the UAE's significant progress in its health sector and expressed interest in advancing bilateral health relations. They emphasised that this meeting was an opportunity to foster healthier relations and explore ways to enhance cooperation by sharing experiences.

Both parties agreed on maintaining ongoing coordination and regular exchanges of visits. This will help define priorities for future cooperation and establish a roadmap for joint projects aimed at enhancing health services quality.
