MoHAP Adopts Digital System To Enhance Financial Collection Efficiency In Healthcare

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has introduced a digital system to monitor and collect fines, aiming to boost financial compliance and healthcare efficiency. This initiative is part of the government's strategy to streamline operations and promote digital transformation under the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. The system offers unified portal access, efficient task management, and integrated technical support, enhancing customer experience and simplifying financial obligations.

Abdullah Ahli, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for the Support Services Sector, highlighted that the system allows healthcare facilities and customers to resolve fines swiftly through a transparent process. "The initiative supports MoHAP’s strategy to build strong partnerships with the private sector and improve healthcare competitiveness," he stated. He described it as a significant advancement in violation management, aligning with the Ministry’s digital transformation goals.

This digital platform is part of MoHAP's broader adoption of emerging technologies to automate financial operations. It aligns with federal laws on debt collection, allowing healthcare providers to focus more on patient care and service quality. Amna Al Mandoos, Head of the Revenue Section in MoHAP's Financial Affairs Department, noted that automating fine collection complies with federal debt collection laws. She emphasised that offering multiple digital payment options reduces administrative burdens on healthcare facilities while enhancing customer satisfaction. "The system improves transaction accuracy, speeds up procedures, and strengthens regulatory compliance," she added.

The new system enhances data accuracy and supports MoHAP’s institutional development by improving service flexibility and competitiveness. It aligns with national strategies and governance standards, fully automating procedures in line with federal laws on debt collection. This allows healthcare providers to concentrate on patient care rather than administrative tasks.
