Mohammed Bin Rashid Highlights Opportunities At World Of Coffee 2025 Dubai Exhibition
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, recently visited the World of Coffee 2025 Dubai exhibition. This event is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre until 12th February. Organised by DXB Live in partnership with the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA), it is the largest coffee industry exhibition in the region, featuring exhibitors from 78 countries.
The exhibition includes 10 national pavilions, with Morocco and Mexico joining for the first time. Returning participants include Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Rwanda, Panama, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ethiopia, and India. India's pavilion has tripled in size this year. The event gathers top coffee producers and traders, with notable involvement from UAE-based coffee companies.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid emphasised the exhibition’s importance in creating opportunities for farmers and traders globally. He noted that coffee is a highly traded commodity with vast potential to boost growth for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Dubai plays a crucial role in advancing economic sectors worldwide.
During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was accompanied by Helal Saeed Al Marri, Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism. They toured various pavilions showcasing equipment for coffee processing and preparation from cultivation to consumer distribution.
Khalid Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President of DXB Live, briefed H.H. Sheikh Mohammed on the exhibition’s growth over time. The fourth edition features 1,980 exhibiting companies and brands—a 50% increase from the previous edition. To meet rising participation interest, exhibition space expanded by 33%, attracting exhibitors from 78 countries.
The event underscores Dubai's status as a global coffee industry hub. With its growing reputation in international trade and tourism—boosted by more hospitality facilities—the emirate's coffee trade is set to grow significantly. This aligns with regional market growth projections showing a compound annual growth rate of 4.84% through 2030.
The World of Coffee 2025 Dubai exhibition not only highlights Dubai's strategic position but also its commitment to fostering economic development across various sectors globally.
