Mohammed Bin Rashid And Shavkat Mirziyoyev Discuss Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation Between UAE And Uzbekistan

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan, at Za’abeel Palace in Dubai. The Uzbek President is visiting the UAE officially. The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Sheikh Mohammed expressed optimism that this visit would enhance cooperation between the two nations. He hoped it would lead to new projects benefiting both countries. Discussions centred on boosting collaboration in economic sectors such as trade, investment, and sustainable development.

The leaders reviewed the robust growth in UAE-Uzbekistan relations. They explored ways to deepen ties in areas like trade, tourism, government excellence, digital transformation, education, agriculture, food security, and cultural heritage. Increasing tourism exchanges and flights between the two countries was also discussed.

Both sides expressed interest in expanding cooperation in green and circular economies. They also discussed technology advancements, renewable energy initiatives, sustainable transport solutions, financial services enhancements, and space exploration opportunities.

President Mirziyoyev appreciated the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation. He acknowledged the UAE's significant regional and global influence and its dedication to promoting sustainable development worldwide. He praised the UAE’s achievements in government excellence and innovation.

Commitment to Future Cooperation

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to enhance coordination and knowledge exchange. Both parties agreed on capacity building to strengthen bilateral cooperation in strategic sectors. This shared commitment aims to foster long-term partnerships between the two nations.

President Mirziyoyev highlighted the UAE’s role as a model for other nations due to its achievements in digital transformation and sustainable development. This visit marks a significant step towards strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and the UAE across various sectors.
