Mohammed Bin Rashid Receives Shabab Al Ahli Football Club After Successful Four-Trophy Season
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, welcomed the Shabab Al Ahli football team at Zabeel Palace. This meeting was to honour their remarkable achievements in the 2024–2025 sports season, where they won four titles. His Highness praised the players, technical and administrative staff, and board members for their successful season.
The gathering was graced by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, along with H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai. Khalifa Saeed bin Sulaiman, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Shabab Al-Ahli Dubai Club, also attended.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the importance of the sports sector in the UAE's development strategy. He noted that it plays a crucial role in human progress and enhances the country's international standing. The leadership's ongoing support for sports reflects a belief in its power to create role models and instil values.
He reiterated the leadership’s commitment to supporting athletes and clubs to excel globally. His Highness stressed that sports clubs should be platforms for developing champions in both skill and character. This support aims to help athletes achieve success on an international level.
The Dubai-based team had a stellar season, securing four titles including their ninth UAE Pro League championship. They also won the UAE President's Cup for the 11th time, along with victories in the UAE Super Cup and UAE-Qatar Super Cup. Their performance was commanding throughout the season.
Addressing the players directly, His Highness commended their determination and teamwork. He acknowledged that achieving first place is significant but maintaining it poses a greater challenge. He encouraged them to continue performing at a high level.

His Highness expressed confidence in Shabab Al Ahli's ability to represent the UAE proudly in future competitions. He joined them for a commemorative photo as a gesture of encouragement to sustain their high performance levels.
