Mohammed Bin Rashid Meets Top Graduates Of Mohammed Bin Rashid University Of Medicine And Health Sciences

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, recently engaged with the top graduates from the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) at Union House in Dubai. He commended their academic success, highlighting their dedication and scientific excellence as core values of the University and the UAE's commitment to educational and healthcare excellence.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasised the significance of developing talent that can influence the future of medicine and scientific research in the region. He noted that these graduates are essential to the UAE's goal of establishing a world-class academic and healthcare system that attracts global talent. "We take pride in these achievements, which form part of the broader success story the nation is building. This academic excellence stands as a testament to the UAE’s ability to shape the future by nurturing exceptional minds across vital sectors," he stated.

The meeting was attended by several key figures including Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, Member of the Dubai Health Board of Directors and Chairperson of MBRU Council; Dr. Alawi Alsheikh-Ali, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority; Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of MBRU; Dr. Hanan Al Suwaidi, Acting Chief Academic Officer of Dubai Health and Provost of MBRU; along with members of the MBRU Council.

Sheikh Mohammed further remarked on MBRU's role as a modern knowledge hub and an incubator for innovation within healthcare. He highlighted its critical function in grooming future leaders in medicine and scientific research, aligning with the vision to position the UAE as a global centre for advanced healthcare and knowledge.

The 2025 graduating class from MBRU consists of 164 students representing 30 nationalities across 30 academic programmes. Among these graduates are 129 women, including 52 Emiratis. This diversity reflects the university's inclusive approach to education.

Sheikh Mohammed's engagement with these graduates underscores his commitment to fostering an environment where education thrives alongside innovation. His vision is for such institutions to continue playing a pivotal role in shaping leaders who will contribute significantly to both local and global advancements in healthcare.
