Mohammed Bin Rashid Library Hosts Diverse Cultural Events In August

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library is hosting a diverse range of cultural, educational, and artistic events this August. These activities include workshops, lectures, and seminars designed for visitors of all ages and interests.

One of the key sessions is led by Dr. Baraa Dhahir, focusing on ‘The Impact of Childhood Trauma on Emotional Development in Children’. This lecture aims to raise awareness about significant psychological issues affecting children's development. It will highlight the effects of deep childhood trauma on emotional growth and offer proven methods to address these traumas.

August Cultural Events at MBR Library

The library also hosts a reading evening to support first-time published authors. This event aligns with the library's mission to encourage new writers by providing them a platform to share their experiences and celebrate their achievements.

Arabic Calligraphy Insights

In celebration of World Calligraphy Day, Matar bin Lahej will participate in a discussion panel titled ‘Arabic Calligraphy: Between Creativity and Innovation’. Moderated by Badr Alawadhi, this session will explore calligraphy's role as a cultural communication tool and delve into bin Lahej’s experiences with the Museum of the Future.

AI and Robotics Workshop

An interactive workshop on the latest advancements in AI and robotics programming basics will also be part of the activities. Trainer Mohammad Alshamsi, along with leading specialists, will moderate this session.

Writing Official Letters in Arabic

A workshop on ‘Basics of Writing Official Letters in Arabic’ presented by Mr. Mohammed Hasanein is included in August’s schedule. This session will cover appropriate language and structures for crafting formal letters in Arabic, offering best practices for professional communication.

Supporting Entrepreneurship

The library supports entrepreneurship by hosting Emirati entrepreneur Ibtihal Alnaji in a panel discussion. The discussion will focus on launching technology projects and addressing challenges faced by new entrepreneurs.

Celebrating Hausa Language

In honour of World Hausa Language Day, the library organises a session titled ‘Hausa Language: History, Literature, and Linguistic Relations’. Poet Ali Loun and author Abdullah Sabo will discuss the history and cultural significance of the Hausa language. The session will also feature musical performances from Hausa heritage.

Emirati Women's Day Celebration

The library celebrates Emirati Women's Day by honouring their achievements with performances from Emirati musical talents. These performances will showcase traditional Emirati music.

Mastering Mobile Photography

The month concludes with an interactive workshop titled ‘Mastering Mobile Photography’ led by Mansour Al Mansouri. Participants will learn how to capture high-quality photographs using mobile phone cameras under his guidance.

Cultural Summer Camp for Children

A summer camp for children aged 7 to 12 years is part of the "Cultural Summer" initiative from August 5-15. The camp offers various sessions and workshops in Arabic and English aimed at fostering a love for reading and knowledge among future generations.
